The Helle Fjellkniven knife has earned a strong reputation among outdoor enthusiasts and knife collectors alike. Known for its craftsmanship and reliability, this knife promises to be a dependable companion for various outdoor tasks.

Design and Build Quality
The Helle Fjellkniven features a classic Scandinavian design that balances functionality with aesthetics. The blade is made from triple laminated stainless steel, which combines a hard core for sharpness with softer outer layers for flexibility and corrosion resistance. This construction ensures the blade holds an edge well while remaining durable in tough conditions.
The handle is crafted from curly birch wood, offering a comfortable grip and natural beauty. Its ergonomic shape fits well in the hand, reducing fatigue during extended use. The knife also includes a sturdy leather sheath that protects the blade and allows for easy carrying.
Performance in Outdoor Use
When it comes to use out on an archery course in the woods, this knife looks great on the belt and some people would say that's 70% of its job done already. But it's also very easy to get in an out of the sheath due to the button press clasp and you've got the security of knowing it's not going anywhere. You can cut through a length of paracord in one motion, whittle a stick for 3D target repairs with ease and it's very very comfortable in the hand, the contours would fit a medium sized hand my paws had no problems. the way the handle flows into the guard is particularly nice. And points for having a guard.

When it comes to cheese this knife cuts through brie and cheddar like a knife through hot butter. When it comes to getting arrows out of trees, it's...ok.
The problem is that it has a stick tang and if you pry a little too much you'll end up with a bent blade. Which can be put back easily enough, but for hard digging work, getting into a hard piece of tree trunk.. you'll want a full tang blade instead.

Its triple laminated steel is a plus over single layer blades and the curly bitch is nice and tough. At the end of the day there's probably more to love about this knife that not.
